CSLP Group Standard for Electronic Control Components for Locks Drafted by China's Smart Lock Shared Industry Platform Was Officially Released

On October 10, 2019, at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center, the China Hardware Products Association held the fifth group standards release conference. During this event, the group standard for the intelligent lock industry titled “Electronic Control Components for Locks” was officially released, and the CSLP (China Smart Lock Sharing Platform), as one of the drafting units for this standard, was invited to attend the conference.

In recent years, the development of electronic smart locks has been rapid; however, there has been a lack of relevant specifications and standards for the core electronic components used in electronic control for locks. The lag in these standards has limited the progress of electronic lock technology. To standardize and guide the healthy development of the industry, the China Hardware Products Association organized the formulation of this group standard for “Electronic Control Components for Locks,” aiming to provide the industry with a high-quality, high-level, and universally applicable standard for electronic lock control components.

As the drafting unit, CSLP was involved throughout the preparation and drafting process of this standard. Being invited as the drafting unit for the “Electronic Control Components for Locks” group standard is a recognition of CSLP’s production and technological capabilities within the industry, highlighting its influence.

The “Electronic Control Components for Locks” group standard, in which CSLP participated, is the first standard applicable to electronic control components used in locks. This standard differs from existing product standards for various types of locks; it serves as a standard for core components and represents an advanced, universal, independent, and comprehensive new standard. The formulation of this group standard addresses the urgent need for clear regulations regarding core components in the smart lock industry. The introduction of this standard will promote the electronicization of locks and play a beneficial guiding and facilitating role in the development of the industry. It is expected to steer the smart lock industry towards healthy and standardized development, yielding positive social benefits.
